NIA has worked with the NIH’s GeroScience Special Interest Group in the past to organize two large research summits on this emerging area of research – which explores how aging is a risk factor for multiple chronic diseases and frailty.

Staff are in the early stages of planning a third geroscience summit, which will explore the contributions that geroscience can make to relieving the burden of specific chronic diseases that are of interest to the patients, professional organizations, investigators and other stakeholders that work with institutes.

NIA is hoping to engage stakeholders with whom they might not already be in contact – and to this end, they have just released a Request for Information – to solicit information from you:
